In Nizhny Novgorod, they are searching for the driver who hit a girl at a pedestrian crossing.

      October 22, 2025 14:00 Incidents: Traffic police officers of the Nizhny Novgorod region are searching for the driver involved in a road accident that injured a minor. This was reported by the press service of the Main Directorate of the Ministry of Internal Affairs for the region.

      According to the police, the incident occurred on August 29 at about 19:00 in the area of Mineeva Street. An unidentified driver struck a girl born in 2011 who was crossing the roadway at an uncontrolled pedestrian crossing, after which he fled the scene.

      The victim sustained injuries and, together with her legal representative, sought medical assistance on their own.

      An administrative investigation is being conducted. Materials have been initiated under Article 12.24 of the Code of Administrative Offences of the Russian Federation, "Violation of traffic rules or rules for the operation of a vehicle resulting in minor or moderate harm to the victim's health," and Part 2 of Article 12.27 of the Code of Administrative Offences of the Russian Federation, "Failure to fulfill duties in connection with a road traffic accident."

      Police officers are taking measures to establish the identity of the driver who struck the pedestrian and to locate him.
