A program of free cultural and creative events for residents of the region has begun on the grounds of the youth and family center "Manezh" at the Nizhny Novgorod Kremlin. Residents of all ages will be able to attend lectures, musical evenings, themed meetings and other interesting events. The schedule can be followed on the Telegram channel "Manezhno" and in the VKontakte group "Family Center Manezh." The events are organized by the ANO "Institute for Demographic Development" and the Nizhny Novgorod Diocese of the Russian Orthodox Church. The youth and family center will operate within the framework of the program "OSNOVA — Nizhny Novgorod life project."

      The first events took place at the center on Father’s Day, October 19; more than 150 people attended — children, parents, and members of the older generation. Guests of the celebration could choose one of the creative activities united by the theme of family: create a bouquet in a small cup, make a felted wool picture, decorate a keychain, make chocolate, or learn to paint using mixed techniques.

      As the organizers noted, the master-class topics will be updated weekly. In such classes, young people and children will also become acquainted with the history and traditions of the Nizhny Novgorod region. It is an opportunity to spend free time productively and meet like-minded people.

      "The launch of the cultural program at the youth and family center 'Manezh' is an important event for Nizhny Novgorod and the entire Nizhny Novgorod Region. It is not only a place to get to know our history and a center for strengthening moral and cultural ties, but also a space for spiritual growth. I am confident that the center’s work will help instill proper life orientations in our children and youth, which will inevitably lead to the strengthening of the institution of the family," emphasized Evgeny Zhuravlev, director of the Institute for Demographic Development.

      Work to stabilize the demographic situation in the region is being carried out in accordance with the goals and objectives of the new national project "Family." By the decision of the Governor of the Nizhny Novgorod Region, Gleb Nikitin, the period from 2025 to 2030 has also been declared the Five-Year Family Period in the Nizhny Novgorod Region.
