13 tonnes of milk and 200 kg of meat without documents were found in the Nizhny Novgorod region.

October 21, 2025 19:30 Society — In the Nizhny Novgorod region, during a planned raid, employees of Rosselkhoznadzor together with representatives of the GIBDD identified violations of veterinary legislation in the transportation of animal-origin products, the agency’s press service reported.

It is noted that from October 10 to 19, 2025, 12 vehicles were inspected. The check showed that 13 tons of raw milk and 200 kilograms of meat products were being transported without the required veterinary accompanying documents.

All products were detained, and measures were taken against the violators in accordance with current legislation.

Rosselkhoznadzor reminded that the movement of animal-origin goods across the territory of Russia is permitted only if veterinary documents are present. This is necessary to ensure epizootic well-being, protect the population from zoonotic diseases, and ensure traceability of products at all stages of their turnover.

Earlier, it was reported that documents certifying the origin of 24.5 tons of dairy products were annulled in the Nizhny Novgorod region.
