Rosselkhoznadzor identified 13 tonnes of dairy products and 200 kg of meat products without veterinary documents in the Nizhny Novgorod Region.

      In the period from October 10 to 19, 2025, during a scheduled raid conducted by employees of the Rosselkhoznadzor Department for Nizhny Novgorod Oblast and the Republic of Mari El together with GIBDD officers, 12 vehicles were inspected in Nizhny Novgorod Oblast. Two violations of veterinary legislation were identified: the transportation of raw milk in the amount of 13 tons and meat products weighing 200 kg without veterinary accompanying documents (VSD). The products were detained, and measures provided for by current legislation were applied against the violator.

      The Rosselkhoznadzor Department reminds that the movement of products of animal origin across the territory of the Russian Federation is permitted exclusively with a veterinary accompanying document (VSD) issued in accordance with the Order of the Ministry of Agriculture of Russia dated 13.12.2022 No. 862 “On approval of the Veterinary Rules for organizing work on the issuance of veterinary accompanying documents, the Procedure for issuing veterinary accompanying documents in electronic form and the Procedure for issuing veterinary accompanying documents on paper media.” This requirement is intended to ensure epizootic well‑being, protect the population from threats associated with the spread of zoonotic diseases, and also guarantee full traceability of controlled goods at all stages of their circulation.
