Nizhny Novgorod airport again suspended operations due to a threat of a drone attack.

      On the night of October 17, temporary restrictions on the arrival and departure of aircraft were in effect at Chkalov Airport in Nizhny Novgorod. This was reported by the Federal Air Transport Agency (Rosaviatsiya).

      The measures came into effect at 2:46 and were related to ensuring flight safety. The reason was a potential threat of drone attacks.

      At around 6:56 the airport’s operating regime was fully restored. Since then the airport has been functioning normally.

      The "Kover" plan was also implemented the previous day, on October 15.

      Recall that on the night of October 14 three enemy drones were shot down over the Nizhny Novgorod region. Debris damaged one energy facility.
