Bastrykin has taken an interest in the violation of the rights of a disabled person from Nizhny Novgorod.

      Chairman of the Investigative Committee of Russia, Alexander Bastrykin, instructed that a report be presented on the progress of the criminal case opened over the violation of the rights of a disabled person in Nizhny Novgorod. This was reported by the IC's press service.

      Officials of the law-enforcement agency drew attention to reports on the internet about the situation faced by a man living in a building on Geroya Shaposhnikova Street. The building, constructed in 1958, is not equipped with ramps, which makes wheelchair mobility virtually impossible.

      Despite appeals to various authorities, the problem has not been resolved.

      The Investigative Department of the IC of Russia for the Nizhny Novgorod Region has opened a criminal case. The head of the Russian agency, Bastrykin, instructed acting head of the regional department Alexander Dynkov to report on the progress and results of the investigation. Control over the execution of the instruction has been assigned to the agency's central office.

      Earlier it was reported that the head of the Investigative Committee had taken an interest in a dilapidated building on Gvozdilnaya Street.
