They want to increase the capital repair fee in the Nizhny Novgorod Region.

      15 October 2025 07:31 Economy Nizhny Novgorod authorities have prepared a draft decree to increase the minimum amount of contributions for capital repairs of apartment buildings. The document was developed by the regional Ministry of Housing and Communal Services and is currently being sent for an independent anti-corruption examination.

      According to the draft, one rate will apply from January 1 to June 30, 2026, and a higher rate from July 1 to December 31. The amount of contributions will depend on the municipality and the building’s technical characteristics: the presence of an elevator, heating systems, and gas supply.

      Thus, in Nizhny Novgorod the rate in the first half of the year will range from 9.2 to 13.38 rubles per square meter. After July 1 the rates will increase: the minimum contribution for buildings without elevators and engineering systems will be 9.57 rubles, and the maximum 13.92 rubles per square meter for buildings equipped with all types of utilities.

      The final values for each municipality and building type are provided in the appendices to the draft decree. It is noted that the document was prepared in accordance with the Housing Code of the Russian Federation and the regional law on capital repairs.

      In addition, the capital repair contribution in the Nizhny Novgorod Region increased by 4.5% in July 2025.
