Another Nizhny Novgorod enterprise will increase output thanks to "Labor Productivity".

      Experts from the Regional Center of Competence (RCC), together with employees of LLC "APS Group" from Nizhny Novgorod, summed up the interim results of implementing tools from the federal project "Labor Productivity" of the national project "Efficient and Competitive Economy" at the enterprise. The company specializes in the production of equipment for milk processing and cheesemaking.

      Specialists from the Regional Center of Competence work at participating enterprises of the federal project for six months. After three months an "Information Day" is held, at which RCC experts present interim results and outline plans for the second part of the project.

      According to Maxim Cherkasov, Minister of Industry, Trade and Entrepreneurship of the Nizhny Novgorod Region, the pilot production stream chosen was the manufacture of the cheese-making machine SIZ-5000, which accounts for 11.5% of the company's revenue.

      "RCC specialists, together with the working group, analyzed processes at the enterprise and identified 16 bottlenecks in the flow. The company faces time losses due to excessive operations, inefficient use of equipment and unnecessary movement of workers during production. Solutions were proposed for each of these points and an action plan was developed. Implementing the RCC specialists' proposals and the company's pilot project team will ensure a 17 percent increase in output by the end of the project," Maxim Cherkasov said.

      RCC experts also trained 13 company employees in lean technologies, and are now preparing two internal trainers who will subsequently be able to train their colleagues independently.

      In the Nizhny Novgorod Region, tools from the federal project "Labor Productivity" of the national project "Efficient and Competitive Economy" are being successfully implemented by two manufacturers of industrial equipment. A total of 299 regional companies are participants in the federal project.
