Nizhny Novgorod Employment Center has placed more than 2,400 jobseekers aged 50 and over.

      The Nizhny Novgorod personnel center "Rabota Rossii" helped employ more than 2,400 jobseekers over 50 from January to September 2025. They were employed at enterprises across various sectors of the economy, including housing and communal services, industrial production, educational and social institutions, state and municipal authorities, as well as cultural institutions.

      "We build individual work with each jobseeker, taking into account their wishes and health conditions. It is extremely important for the regional economy that experienced specialists continue working, passing on their unique knowledge and skills. We see that employers share this approach: they highly value such employees and are willing to accommodate them by creating flexible working conditions," said Igor Pantyukhin, head of the Department of Labor and Employment of the Nizhny Novgorod Region.

      For jobseekers over 50, the employment service's career counselors provide career guidance, help choose a suitable field, and refer them to psychological training and social adaptation classes. If necessary, the personnel center offers the opportunity to retrain in a new profession or upgrade qualifications at the state's expense.

      "People 50+ are citizens with an active life stance who are not afraid to learn new things. This year, 394 jobseekers in this age group retrained and learned new professions as part of the national project 'Personnel.' The most popular programs were 'Neural Networks and Artificial Intelligence for Solving Applied Organizational Tasks,' 'AI Tools in the Field of Culture,' 'Care Assistant,' and 'Tour Guide'," said Lyudmila Yegorova, director of the Nizhny Novgorod personnel center "Rabota Rossii."

      Citizens 50+ can learn more about available vacancies, support measures, and planned events at any office of the Nizhny Novgorod personnel center or in the institution's official group on the social network VKontakte.

      Recall that since 2025, by order of President Vladimir Putin, the national project "Personnel" has been in effect in Russia. It includes four federal projects: "Labor Market Management," "Active Measures to Promote Employment," "Education for the Labor Market," and "The Working Person." The national project's initiatives are aimed at preparing personnel quickly and effectively to meet employers' needs through coordinated work by educational institutions, companies, and the state.
