On October 10, an exhibition (18+) of photographs by war correspondents titled "Chronicles of Terror of the Ukrainian Neo-Nazi Regime" opened at the Legislative Assembly of the Nizhny Novgorod Region. The opening was attended by Deputy Chairman of the regional parliament Dmitry Krasnov, State Duma deputy Artem Kavinov, parliamentarians, staff of the Legislative Assembly, members of the Youth Parliament, and Nizhny Novgorod schoolchildren.
The exhibition features more than 50 photographs taken by war correspondents. The core of the exposition consists of images that document the tragic consequences for civilians left homeless and bereaved. The shots capture destroyed homes, hospitals, and churches. Each photo is accompanied by a description of the circumstances, allowing viewers to better understand the scale of the tragedy. The exhibition objectively demonstrates the brutality of neo-Nazi groups and serves as a reminder of the real human stories behind each image.
The exhibition includes work by RIA Novosti photojournalist Andrei Stenin, who was killed in August 2014. At that time militants deliberately and deliberately fired on a column evacuating civilians.
"My shop teacher, who survived a fascist concentration camp, weighed 50 kilograms when he returned and said that the greatest delicacy for three years had been potato peels. Today we see how the same 'brown plague' that our grandfathers did not finish off is returning, bringing with it the same meanness and inhumanity. We must not be Ivans who forget their kin. This exhibition is our common duty of memory and a powerful spur to action for the younger generation, which must know the truth and not allow the horrors of the past to be repeated. To forget the events taking place today is to betray the memory of those who are fighting on the battlefield for our Motherland. This must not be allowed," said Dmitry Krasnov.
The exposition is a joint project of the State Duma and RIA Novosti, launched in July 2025. The photo documents tell of crimes against the populations of the Donetsk and Luhansk People's Republics, as well as the border territories of the Kursk, Belgorod, and Bryansk regions. The organizers emphasize that the exhibition not only shows the pain and horror of what happened but also tells of the indomitable will to live and the hope for justice that cannot be destroyed.
"The exhibition is our answer to lies, an archive of crimes. While some try to portray the aggressors as victims, the photographs tell the truth. They show the true face of the Ukrainian neo-Nazi regime, which is waging war not on the army but on civilians: the elderly, women, children," noted Artem Kavinov.
The exhibition is available for visitors to the regional parliament by appointment.
