A drunk driver in Arzamas crashed into a gas station and caused a fire.

      In Arzamas, police detained a man who, while driving a car at high speed, crashed into a gas station. This was reported by the Main Directorate of the Ministry of Internal Affairs for the Nizhny Novgorod Region.

      According to preliminary data, the accident occurred on the night of October 11 at about 01:30. A young man born in 2001, while at the wheel, lost control and, at full speed, crashed into the gas station building.

      As a result of the collision a fire broke out, however, fortunately, no one was injured.

      Traffic police officers promptly arrived at the scene. During the inspection it was found that the driver was intoxicated. In addition, he did not have a driver's license.

      An administrative report was drawn up against the offender under Part 3 of Article 12.8 of the Code of Administrative Offenses of the Russian Federation — "Operating a vehicle by a person in a state of intoxication."

      Earlier it was reported that a drunk driver rammed seven parked cars in Sarov, Nizhny Novgorod Region.
