Another batch of illegal dairy products was seized in the Nizhny Novgorod region.

Employees of the Rosselkhoznadzor administration for the Nizhny Novgorod Region and the Republic of Mari El, together with representatives of the traffic police (GIBDD), conducted a scheduled raid from October 6 to 10. During the operation seven vehicles were inspected.
As a result of the inspection, it was found that one of the vehicles was transporting dairy products with a total weight of 5.138 tonnes without the required veterinary accompanying documents (VSD). The entire consignment was detained.
As explained by the agency, the presence of VSD is mandatory when transporting products of animal origin, including dairy products.
"This requirement is aimed at protecting citizens from possible outbreaks of zoonotic diseases, and also ensures full traceability of the controlled products," the department noted.
Measures will be taken against the violators in accordance with current legislation.
Earlier it was reported that the total weight of dairy products moved within the Nizhny Novgorod Region in violation amounted to 459 kg.
