In Nizhny Novgorod, a monument honoring the People's Artist of the RSFSR Pavel Gusev was installed in the square named after him. This was reported by the administration of the Nizhegorodsky District.
According to district head Aleksey Rybolovlev, the square's improvement was completed in 2025 as part of the "Formation of a Comfortable Urban Environment" project, which is included in the national project "Infrastructure for Life."
"The installation of a monument to our outstanding countryman became the final stage of the renewal of this territory. The bust was cast in bronze, and the pedestal was made from a single block of granite," Rybolovlev noted.
Earlier, comprehensive improvements were carried out in the square: new paving stones were laid, trees and shrubs were planted, a flower bed was created, and the lawn was restored. Benches and trash bins were also installed, and street lighting was organized.
Recall that in 2025 five public spaces were renovated in Nizhny Novgorod. In addition to the Pavel Gusev square, renovations affected the area with a fountain by the Ordzhonikidze House of Culture in the Moskovsky District, the stretch on Vedenyapin Street in Avtozavod, the space on Gagarin Avenue in the Prioksky District, and the square in front of the Avtozavod department store.
It was also reported that the inscription "To Stalin's Falcon" will reappear on the monument to Valery Chkalov in Nizhny Novgorod.
