From October 1 to 3, a district rally of search teams "No One Is Forgotten" was held in Nizhny Novgorod. The main venue of the event was the Nizhny Novgorod Institute of Management — a branch of RANEPA (the Russian Presidential Academy of National Economy and Public Administration).
The rally has been held since 2014 at the initiative of the Office of the Plenipotentiary Representative of the President of the Russian Federation. Since 2021, it has been hosted annually by the Nizhny Novgorod Region. The project's goal is to support and develop the search movement in the Volga Federal District, as well as to cultivate civic-mindedness and patriotism among young people.
Over eleven years the rally has become a symbol of generational continuity and respect for the memory of the fallen defenders of the Fatherland. Each year it brings together young people from the cities and republics of the Volga region to work jointly on preserving historical memory.
For three days participants competed in topography and land navigation, took part in archival search contests, first aid exercises, military-historical and search quizzes, and demonstrated knowledge of safety techniques and rules for documenting fieldwork. An exhibition of displays summarizing the field season was organized in the Nizhny Novgorod Kremlin.
In addition, as part of the educational program, master classes were held on operating unmanned aerial vehicles using simulators, sessions on assembling and disassembling weapons, and live-fire training.
The 2025 rally included 224 representatives of search associations from all regions of the Volga Federal District. These comprised 14 teams representing the republics of Bashkortostan, Mari El, Mordovia, Tatarstan, Udmurtia, and Chuvashia; Perm Krai; and the Kirov, Nizhny Novgorod, Orenburg, Penza, Samara, Saratov, and Ulyanovsk oblasts. Deputy Plenipotentiary Representative of the President of the Russian Federation in the Volga Federal District Oleg Mashkovtsev took part in the opening and closing ceremonies.
The director of the Presidential Academy's Nizhny Novgorod Institute, Ekaterina Lebedeva, emphasized that it is a great honor for the institute to host such an event. "By maintaining a link with the past, we are building the future," Ekaterina Lebedeva said.
