Viktor Lunin: "Receiving one's first passport is a special event in every person's life."

      At the Public Support Headquarters of United Russia, the presentation of the first passports took place as part of the nationwide program "We are Citizens of Russia!". Students of Nizhny Novgorod schools No. 7 and No. 35, as well as Gymnasium No. 13, received their first documents from the hands of Viktor Lunin, deputy secretary of the Nizhny Novgorod regional branch of the United Russia party and head of the regional public reception office of the party chairman D.A. Medvedev.

      "Receiving one's first passport is a special event in every person's life. It is not just a document — it is a symbol of civic maturity, responsibility and belonging to a great country. I am glad that our children are taking such important steps in a solemn setting, with the support of family, school and the state. I am confident that this day will remain in their memory for a long time and will become a starting point on the path to active and conscious citizenship," Viktor Lunin said.

      "Having received our passports, we felt like real adults, because we have now officially become full-fledged citizens of our country. We feel pride — pride in belonging to a great power, an awareness of responsibility before the Motherland and our family. There is a sense of the importance of every step and action, because from now on every decision matters not only personally to us, but also to our family, loved ones and relatives. At the same time there is some nervousness — important steps of adult life lie ahead, serious decisions must be made, we will be responsible for our actions and must conduct ourselves with dignity before society and the country. But at the same time we feel the confidence and support of the state, which provides guarantees for the protection of the rights and freedoms of each of its citizens," the students shared their impressions.
