Nizhny Novgorod Airport was closed to arrivals and departures.

      October 6, 2025, 07:04 Society Nizhny Novgorod Chkalov Airport is temporarily not accepting or releasing aircraft, Rosaviatsia reported.

      Restrictions on the airport’s operations due to a threat of a drone attack have been in effect since approximately 01:18 on October 6. At the same time, restrictions were imposed at the airports in Sochi and Gelendzhik. At the time of publication of this news, the airports in Sochi and Gelendzhik had resumed operations.

      Recall that the "Kover" plan was also in effect on the morning of October 5. It was then revealed that air defense systems had destroyed five Ukrainian drones during the night. Governor Gleb Nikitin later commented on the incident.
