New Year's corporate parties at Nizhny Novgorod cafes have become 20% more expensive.

      Active booking of seats in restaurants and cafés for New Year’s celebrations has begun in Nizhny Novgorod. According to the news agency "Vremya N", demand for New Year’s corporate parties remains at last year’s level, but the cost of events has risen by about 20%.

      The regional representative of the Federation of Restaurateurs and Hoteliers of Russia, president of the PIR Group, Alexander Kotyusov, explained the price increase by objective reasons — inflation, higher employee wages and rising food costs.

      At the same time, according to Kotyusov, the celebration format remains traditional: dancing, contests and entertainment programs. "The Russian person is conservative, so everything follows the classics," he noted.

      The Biblioteka café confirmed that bookings for New Year’s events are proceeding at the same pace as last year. Prices have gone up, but no innovations in the festive programs are planned.

      The Vitalich restaurant reported that orders began arriving as early as the beginning of autumn, but the main peak of bookings is expected in November. There are still available spots, and prices have increased by about 10–15% compared with last year.

      According to industry representatives, the rise in visits to catering establishments in Nizhny Novgorod is directly connected to the increase in tourist flows to the region.

      Earlier it was reported that a Russian cuisine restaurant and a hotel are planned to open in the town of Vetluga in the Nizhny Novgorod Region.
