Over 52 million rubles will be allocated for work to extend the metro in Sormovo.

      JSC "Mospromproekt" initiated an electronic auction for conducting engineering and geological surveys necessary for the construction of the metro in the Sormovsky district of Nizhny Novgorod. This information was posted on the official public procurement portal on October 3, 2025.

      According to the tender conditions, the future contractor will have to carry out a set of studies on the section between the "Burevestnik" station and the planned "Sormovskaya" station. The work is being carried out as part of the project to extend the Sormovsko‑Meshcherskaya metro line.

      Financing for the geological surveys is provided from the Nizhny Novgorod city budget for 2026, as well as from an infrastructure budget loan allocated from the regional budget.

      Applications from companies wishing to participate in the auction are being accepted until October 18, 2025. The winner will have to complete all work specified in the contract within 40 calendar days from the date of signing the agreement.

      It was reported that Nizhny Novgorod authorities approved the seizure of four more garages in the Sormovsky district for the needs of metro construction. It is known that the new station will be located on Stantsionnaya Street.
