A Nizhny Novgorod resident was fined 1.9 million rubles for dumping construction waste.
1.9 million rubles are being recovered from a resident of the settlement of Zhdanovsky who hauled construction waste onto a plot in the Kstovsky District. The money will go to the district budget, the press service of the Interregional Office of Rosprirodnadzor for the Nizhny Novgorod Region and the Republic of Mordovia reported.
The illegal dump of construction waste and soil was discovered behind houses No. 81–85 in the village of Krutaya under the power line in 2022. Laboratory inspectors carried out geodetic surveys and took soil samples. The area of the contaminated site amounted to more than 537 square meters.
At first responsibility for the dump was placed on the administration of the Kstovsky District, which is supposed to monitor its territories. However, during the court hearing the identity of the person who organized the dump was established. It turned out to be a resident of Zhdanovsky. Now he must pay a fine of 1.9 million rubles.
Earlier the pravda-nn.ru website reported that another "illegal dumper" was caught in the Prioksky District.
