A Nizhny Novgorod manufacturer will increase production by 12% thanks to the project.

      Specialists from the Regional Competence Center (RCC), together with employees of LLC "Freshmarket" from Nizhny Novgorod, summed up the preliminary results of implementing the tools of the federal project "Labor Productivity" at the enterprise.

      The company manufactures food products, including pickles, sauerkraut, marinades and salads.

      Within the project, RCC specialists work at participating enterprises for six months. After three months an Information Day is held, where experts present interim results and outline plans for the remaining period.

      According to the Minister of Industry, Trade and Entrepreneurship of the Nizhny Novgorod Region, Maxim Cherkasov, the pilot production stream chosen was the process of making Korean-style carrot, which accounts for 20% of the company's revenue.

      During the analysis, RCC specialists and the working group identified 29 issues in the production process, including equipment downtime, delays in transferring products between workshops, and waiting times in the carrot peeling workshop. Solutions were proposed for each item and an action plan was drawn up.

      Implementing these solutions will increase the enterprise's productivity by 12%, Maxim Cherkasov noted.

      In addition, RCC specialists trained nine employees of the enterprise in lean technologies. Two in-house trainers are now being prepared who will be able to train colleagues independently in the future.

      To date, 25 food manufacturers in the Nizhny Novgorod Region are implementing the tools of the federal project "Labor Productivity" of the national project "Effective and Competitive Economy". In total, 298 companies in the region are participants in the project.

      To join the federal project "Labor Productivity", an application must be submitted on the IT platform proizvoditelnost.rf. From 2019 to 2024 the project was implemented as part of the national project "Labor Productivity", and from 2025 it is being implemented as part of the federal project "Labor Productivity" of the national project "Effective and Competitive Economy".

      The national project "Effective and Competitive Economy", initiated by the President of Russia Vladimir Putin, is aimed at forming a new growth model. It includes projects to develop small and medium-sized enterprises, increase labor productivity, boost investment activity, pursue low-carbon development, and improve the state system of statistics and forecasting.
