The leader of technological development among telecom operators in Russia has been named.

      The Russian analytical agency J’son & Partners Consulting presented a ranking of the technological development of the largest telecom operators. The leader of the list was MTS, which scored 79 out of 100 possible points. In second place was MegaFon with a result of 64%, and in third — Beeline (59%). The ranking also includes T2 and Rostelecom.

      According to the agency, MTS’s position was determined by the number and results of innovations implemented in basic communication services. Examples include functions for detecting synthesized voice, the ability to make calls via smart devices, as well as the telecom product Membrana. It brings together services for protecting subscribers’ privacy and security: monitoring data leaks, ad blocking, creating additional numbers and temporary email. There is also a children’s version — Membrana Kids, with call filtering, safe internet access and profile management via a parents’ app.

      In addition, the study notes MTS’s leadership in research activity, which is confirmed by the number of patents and the results of intellectual activity.

      According to surveys of telecom users, MTS also ranks first: the company was chosen by 31% of respondents. In second place is MegaFon (26%), followed by T2 (18%) and Beeline (14%).
