20 of the best class teachers represent the Nizhny Novgorod Region at the 5th All‑Russian Forum of Class Teachers, which is being held from October 1 to 3 at the National Center "Russia" as part of the Big Teacher Week ahead of Teacher’s Day.
The forum is organized by the Ministry of Education of the Russian Federation on the instructions of President Vladimir Putin as part of the implementation of the goals and objectives of the national project "Youth and Children."
“The Forum of Class Teachers has become a real family, a true example of service and professionalism. People who have chosen the sacred profession of teacher and educator as their vocation show an example of true service not only to children—their pupils—but also to their parents and everyone around. Thank you very much for that,” said Sergey Kiriyenko, First Deputy Head of the Presidential Administration of the Russian Federation, at the forum’s opening.
The forum program includes key events aimed at developing the professional community and an open dialogue with the authorities. These include a live Q&A with the Minister of Education of the Russian Federation Sergey Kravtsov, the first meeting of the Council for the Protection of the Professional Honor and Dignity of Teaching Staff, and the All‑Russian Expert Council under the Ministry of Education of Russia.
The Nizhny Novgorod Region is represented at the forum by 20 of the best class teachers, who passed regional and interregional selections earlier in 2025. Contestants had to undergo several challenges: a detailed questionnaire, testing on history and the fundamentals of pedagogy, an assessment of professional competencies, and the recording of a creative video introduction on the theme “My educational practice.” These are teachers from Nizhny Novgorod Secondary School No. 102 with advanced study of certain subjects, Sergach School No. 4, as well as teachers from institutions of the secondary vocational education system.
“Most of all, I am looking forward to our joint work on the second and third days of the forum. In a discussion format we will meet and discuss the country’s pedagogical palette, conduct grades, the prestige of the teaching profession and the role of parents in upbringing,” shared his impressions Artyom Rodionov, the Ambassador of the Forum of Class Teachers 2025 from the Nizhny Novgorod Region.
Other topics for discussion and experience exchange will include family support, traditional values, working with children with disabilities, and identifying the best practices of parent communities.
“The topics raised at the All‑Russian Forum of Class Teachers are among the most relevant and pressing for the field of education both at the regional level and for the country as a whole. Regions have completed discussions of the main challenges of education and strategies through 2036 and 2040. These issues are currently being worked through, successful methods of dealing with challenges are being identified, and class teachers have the opportunity to present regional experience at such a forum,” said Mikhail Puchkov, Minister of Education and Science of the Nizhny Novgorod Region.
The new national project "Youth and Children" is being implemented on the instructions of the President of the Russian Federation Vladimir Putin from 2025. It includes nine federal projects and programs: "Russia — a Land of Opportunities," "We Are Together," "Russia in the World," "All the Best for Children," "Leading Schools," "Teachers and Mentors," "Creating a Network of Modern Campuses," "Universities for a Generation of Leaders," and "Professionalism."
