A mobilization reserve has begun forming in the Nizhny Novgorod Region.

      In the Nizhny Novgorod region, the mobilization reserve "BARS-NN" has begun to be formed. Its goal is to enhance the region's security. Service in the reserve is not connected with deployment to the zone of the special military operation and takes place exclusively within the region, the regional government press service emphasized.

      Recruitment is on a voluntary basis through military enlistment offices by signing a contract with the Russian Ministry of Defense. The main feature is the ability to combine civilian work with military training. Reserve participants retain their primary place of employment and average earnings, while a workplace is secured for them during training assemblies.

      Reservists are provided with monetary compensation, uniforms and equipment. During assemblies there are increased payments, medical support, life and health insurance, as well as free meals.

      Training includes both theoretical and practical classes: live-fire exercises, tactical medicine, engineering training, instruction in the use of and countermeasures against drones, and driving combat vehicles. Individual training is allotted 24 days a year, and unit assemblies — 30 days.

      Service in the reserve opens the opportunity to obtain a new military occupational specialty, a military post, the next rank and even departmental or state awards.

      It was reported that this autumn more than 2,100 residents of the Nizhny Novgorod region are planned to be drafted into the army.
