Viewers will see a TV series filmed in Nizhny Novgorod starring Alexander Petrov.

      The online premiere of the eight-episode drama "Comeback" (18+) starring Alexander Petrov in the lead role will take place on October 4. This was reported by the press service of the production company Russian Code.

      The series, filmed in Nizhny Novgorod, transports the viewer to the early 2000s. The story unfolds in a city where teenagers' phones only have calls and "Snake," Dolphin and Hi-Fi play in the yards, and prosperity often coexists with crime.

      Three friends — Yura, Ptaha and Oleg — try to help their classmate Dasha but find themselves in danger. They are unexpectedly rescued by a homeless man nicknamed Kompot (Alexander Petrov). The man does not remember his past: one day he simply woke up after severe injuries. Now he earns money with odd jobs, eats in the school cafeteria and seems lost. The teenagers realize they owe him their lives and decide to uncover the mystery of his identity, helping him to regain himself.

      Filming took place in Nizhny Novgorod, Moscow and the Moscow region. The idea for the project belongs to Ilya Kulikov, who previously collaborated with Alexander Petrov on "Policeman from Rublyovka" (18+) and "The Law of the Stone Jungle" (16+). The director was Dinar Garipov ("Territory" (18+)).

      The director notes that it was Nizhny Novgorod that gave the story a special atmosphere and allowed a deeper immersion for the viewer. He was drawn to the humanity of the script — stories of teenagers, their relationships with parents, friendship and the pain of growing up — as well as Petrov's character. Garipov emphasizes that the teenagers do not ignore the homeless man who has lost his memory, but try to help him find himself again, thereby giving him a chance to live two lives — the past and the new. According to him, the main question of the story is: who will a person become when they learn who they were before?

      Alexander Petrov calls Kompot one of the most difficult and interesting roles of his career. He emphasizes that "Comeback" raises themes of choosing according to conscience, the ability to help and to love regardless of circumstances. For the actor, this is a kind of return to deep dramatic roles — in the spirit of his work in "Text" (18+) and "Call DiCaprio!" (18+). Petrov is confident that the project has every chance of becoming a notable event in the industry and earning the audience's love.

      "Comeback" also became the first drama in which Petrov acted alongside Alexey Chadov. His character is Andrey Krasovsky, head of the bank's security service.

      It is recalled that in the summer of 2025 the premiere of the series "Three Sisters" (16+) took place in Nizhny Novgorod.
