In Russia, 1 billion rubles will be allocated each year for parent committee projects.

29 September 2025 17:54 Society. First Deputy Head of the Presidential Administration of the Russian Federation Sergei Kiriyenko reported that one billion rubles will be allocated annually across the country to support the initiatives of parent committees. He made this statement on the main platform of the "Znanie.Pervye" marathon in Moscow.

Regular funding under the competition for parent community initiatives, launched in 2024 by the Znanie Society together with the Ministry of Education of Russia, will become an important element of a large program. It is aimed at identifying and supporting parent committees, creating a unified educational environment across the country, and uniting the efforts of families and the education system in matters of teaching, enlightenment and upbringing of the younger generation.

Sergei Kiriyenko emphasized that in the budget being prepared by the government of Russia, following the president’s instructions, annual funding of one billion rubles is planned for the next and subsequent years for projects created by parent committees in schools across the country.

He also announced the holding of the first All-Russian Congress of Parent Committees, which will take place in November in Moscow. Representatives from all regions will come to the event to discuss the further development of the Competition of Parent Community Initiatives, summarize the results of its first year of implementation and highlight the most significant projects. When evaluating the results, not only the opinions of parents and teachers will be taken into account, but also those of the children themselves — the primary participants in these initiatives.

At the president’s instruction in 2024, the Znanie Society together with the Ministry of Education created the All-Russian Parent Committee — a permanent collegial advisory body under the ministry. Its goal is to unite the efforts of parents, educational organizations and public structures for joint work on issues of upbringing and education. The body includes teachers, directors’ advisors on upbringing, winners of the "This Is Our Family" competition, as well as active parents of students from all federal districts of the country.

In the 2024/2025 academic year, two seasons of the Competition of Parent Community Initiatives aimed at developing projects of school parent associations were held for the first time. For this purpose, by the President’s decision, special funds were allocated for the first time to support school initiatives. As a result of the two seasons, 1,215 projects from 89 regions of Russia became winners.
