      400 residents of Nizhny Novgorod tested their endurance at the "Avangard" obstacle race. According to the press service of the Avangard Center for Patriotic Education, on September 27 a military-sports obstacle race took place at the Shchelokovsky Khutor architectural and ethnographic museum-reserve in Nizhny Novgorod. More than 400 people took part in the event. Among them were children, university and vocational college students, and work collectives. According to the information, participants competed in four categories: "amateurs," "pros," "children," and "team." Each category completed 14 challenges. The obstacles ranged from traditional running distances to complex elements requiring agility and coordination. According to Alexander Ineshin, acting executive director of the Avangard Center for Patriotic Education, the obstacle race has been held for the second year in a row. "This year we significantly expanded the program, adding new venues and improving organization so that every participant could fully enjoy the competition atmosphere and test their abilities at the highest level," he emphasized. It was noted that in addition to the main race, interactive zones were operating at the event. There, guests recorded messages in a digital time capsule, explored exhibitions of the Center and the Search Movement of Russia, attended a training session from partners, and tried their hand at meeting GTO standards. "The obstacle race is not only about sport, it is also a real test of character. Reaching the end, overcoming challenges of varying difficulty — is a sign of the willpower of our participants," shared Svetlana Anufrieva, Minister of Youth Policy of the Nizhny Novgorod Region. The organizers of the sporting event were the Ministry of Youth Policy of the Nizhny Novgorod Region and the Avangard Center for Patriotic Education, with the support of the Nizhny Novgorod Regional Physical Culture and Sports Public Organization "Obstacle Racing Federation" and the sports school "Radiy."
