      The improvement of the area near Tekhnikum Pond in Ardatov, Nizhny Novgorod Region has been completed. The work was carried out under the national project "Infrastructure for Life," aimed at creating a comfortable urban environment.

      More than 6.5 million rubles from federal, regional and local budgets were allocated for the project. Pedestrian walkways, rest areas with benches, swings and trash bins, a bicycle parking area and concrete separators for safety have been added on the site. Lighting and video surveillance cameras have also been installed. At the expense of the local budget, a concrete water spillway was arranged in the pond.

      The landscaping continues the work started in 2024 under the participatory budgeting program "You Decide!". At that time, the area was graded, hazardous trees were removed and a bike path was built.

      Head of the Ardatov District Georgy Zhdankin noted that since 2018 the district has implemented ten projects to improve public spaces and repaired 41 courtyards. "More than 70 million rubles have been spent on the improvement and repair of all these spaces. They are in demand by residents and visitors for recreation, playing with children and sports. It is symbolic that in April this year an alley of 80 fir trees was planted by the pond in honor of the 80th anniversary of Victory in the Great Patriotic War," he emphasized.

      Immediately after the opening, the renovated area began to be used by cyclists, rollerbladers and Nordic walking enthusiasts.

      Recall that since 2025 Russia has been implementing the national project "Infrastructure for Life," initiated by the President of the Russian Federation Vladimir Putin. Its goal is to provide citizens with modern, high-quality social infrastructure. The national project includes 11 federal directions, including those previously part of the national projects "Housing and Urban Environment" and "Safe High-Quality Roads," as well as state programs: "Formation of a Comfortable Urban Environment," "Modernization of Utility Infrastructure," "Housing," "Development of Infrastructure in Settlements," "New Rhythm of Construction," "Central Transport Hub," "Road Traffic Safety," "Regional Roads," "Federal Highways," "Development of Road Management" and "Public Transport."
