The annual parent meeting (12+), dedicated to plans and key directions for the development of education in the upcoming 2025–2026 academic year, will take place on 25 September from 18:00 to 19:00 at the Nizhny Novgorod Center for the Development and Upbringing of Children and Youth “Sfera.”

The meeting will feature a speech by the Minister of Education and Science of the Nizhny Novgorod Region, Mikhail Puchkov. He will talk about the main trends expected in the educational sphere in the new school year.
Special attention at the meeting will be paid to pedagogy and psychology. Associate professors of the Department of Primary Education of the Nizhny Institute for the Development of Education and Candidates of Psychological Sciences Olga Dedova and Tatyana Runova will discuss the importance of family involvement in a child’s adaptation to school life.
Lyubov Sorokina, an educational psychologist at the Regional Center for Psychological, Pedagogical, Medical and Social Assistance, will share practical recommendations on building children’s confidence with family support.
Anna Tarani, Deputy Director for Methodological and Innovative Work, and Polina Yarovaya, Head of the Department for the Development of Supplementary Education at the Center for the Development of Children’s and Youth Creativity of the Nizhny Novgorod Region, will speak about the development of the supplementary education system in the region. They will also present the opportunities of the “Navigator of Supplementary Education” platform.
Child road safety issues will be raised by Egor Polosin, Deputy Director of the “Sfera” center. He will remind attendees of the important role parents play in preventing child road traffic injuries.
Nikita Tarasov, regional coordinator of the “Navigators of Childhood” project and an expert at FSBI “Rosdetcentr,” will speak about the interaction of school deputy directors for educational work with parents, and will present new approaches and tools in this area.
The meeting will conclude with a presentation by Vyacheslav Amosov, Chairman of the Council of the regional branch of the Movement of the First. He will talk about the opportunities opened by the family community “Rodnye-Lyubimye” in the Nizhny Novgorod Region.
Earlier, the head of the Nizhny Novgorod Ministry of Education, Mikhail Puchkov, spoke about new changes in the current school year.
