The authorities presented Nizhny Novgorod residents with a project to renovate the block on Gogol Street.

      A meeting was held in Nizhny Novgorod between representatives of the regional Ministry of Urban Development, the administration and specialists from the State Budgetary Institution "Institute for the Development of the Agglomeration of the Nizhny Novgorod Region" (IRANO) with residents of buildings that fall within the boundaries of the future Comprehensive Territory Development project (KRT) in the area of Gogol, Nizhegorodskaya and Zalomov streets. The dialogue with city residents took place at School No. 33.

      As part of the meeting, Deputy Minister of Urban Development and Agglomeration Development Mikhail Genin and Acting Director of IRANO Alexandra Bogatenkova presented the project concept and explained in detail the mechanism for implementing the KRT.

      According to Mikhail Genin, tenders and the selection of an investor who will interact with residents are planned to be held before the end of this year. The authorities will act as intermediaries, ensuring transparency and the protection of citizens' interests.

      "About 80 owners will be able to improve their housing conditions and move into modern apartments. The rights of participants are protected by federal legislation and regional Resolution No. 601, which sets strict requirements for investors. We strive for an open dialogue and the formation of partnership relations between residents and the authorities," Genin noted.

      The next stage will be holding general meetings of the owners of the houses included within the KRT boundaries. These meetings must take place by October 23, 2025. For a house to be included in the project, at least two-thirds of the owners must vote "yes". At the same time, residents of emergency (unsafe) buildings are included in the program automatically, without holding a vote.

      Deputy Chairman of the Government of the Nizhny Novgorod Region Ivan Kargin emphasized the effectiveness of the KRT mechanism: "More than 500 people have already received new housing, and almost 3,000 participated in the voting. This confirms the high level of engagement of Nizhny Novgorod residents and the success of the approach based on partnership among residents, investors and authorities."

      Earlier, the Ministry of Urban Development published the KRT project within the borders of Gogol, Nizhegorodskaya and Zalomov streets. A comprehensive transformation of the territory of 1.29 hectares is planned there.
