A United Russia party task force inspected the progress of improvements to public spaces in the Dalnekonstantinovsky District.

      The party’s action plan includes facilities located in the village of Bogoyavlenie and the settlement of Dalneye Konstantinovo. Public spaces are being improved as part of national, regional and municipal projects.

      “All the sites we are visiting today should become attraction points for local residents and guests of the district. And, of course, the condition of the areas plays a leading role in solving this task. New surfacing, playground and sports complexes, benches, lighting, small architectural forms — all together organize the spaces. People will want to come here and spend time with family and friends. And that is very important. After all, the opportunity for comfortable recreation directly affects health and mood,” emphasized Vladimir Bespalov, regional coordinator of the party project “Urban Environment” and deputy head of the United Russia faction in the Legislative Assembly of Nizhny Novgorod Oblast.

      The first stop of the working trip was the square by the House of Culture in Bogoyavlenie. The project provides for the installation of asphalt-concrete surfacing, swings, benches, trash bins and lighting. Greening is planned for an area of slightly less than 2,000 sq. m. The budget for the work is more than 5.1 million rubles. The completion date was moved from August 15 to October 1.

      “Unfortunately, the contractor missed the original deadlines. But work is proceeding according to the new schedule. This square is being improved as part of the creation of a modern urban environment. The facility is intended primarily for an adult audience. We already have children’s playgrounds. But there is no place for their parents to relax. We hope that residents will truly come to love this public space,” said Olesya Kromina, head of the Bogoyavlenie Territorial Department of the Administration of the Dalnekonstantinovsky Municipal District.

      In the settlement of Dalneye Konstantinovo, the delegation inspected improvements to the area around the Energia sports and recreation center. Work took place in two phases. In 2023 pedestrian paths were laid, lighting was installed, benches, canopies and two gazebos were set up. In 2024 work continued with the installation of new surfacing on the paths and the mounting of luminaires. Children’s play equipment and swings were installed. The project was completed in March 2025. The total cost of the work was over 10 million rubles.

      “We monitor the quality of the work strictly. If we find violations, we make the contractor fix them. The improvement of this facility can be judged by how popular it is with the local population: how many people walk here, mothers with strollers, children. And I think such projects play a serious role in increasing the attractiveness of settlements in the municipal districts of the oblast, so that people do not leave for Nizhny Novgorod or other large cities, but gladly stay in their small homeland,” said Vladimir Varnakov, head of local government of the Dalnekonstantinovsky municipal district.
