The merits of United Russia volunteers were recognized with honorary certificates. Young people took part in clearing debris, construction work, and the improvement of facilities in the Kursk region.
"The courage of our volunteers who went to restore the Kursk region is direct proof of their caring. The willingness to sacrifice oneself to help others is born only from sincere and deep love for the Motherland," said Artyom Rybakov, first deputy head of the regional executive committee of the United Russia party.
The volunteers received the award "For an active civic stance and comprehensive assistance in the restoration of the Kursk region."
"We rebuilt the roof of a house that had partially burned down: we replaced the beams, rafters, and trusses. In addition, we took part in restoring a monument to fallen soldiers. This certainly won't be my last trip. I will definitely go to the Kursk region again," said United Russia volunteer Kirill Orlov.
"People who come give it their all. Aid is usually targeted, and you always see the person whose fence or roof you are repairing. And the sincere gratitude in people's eyes is the most important and precious thing for which we and other volunteers work," emphasized United Russia volunteer Nikolai Nazarov.
The event was attended by veterans of the special operation and participants of the regional educational project "Heroes. Nizhny Novgorod Region." At the end of the meeting there was an exchange of views and personal plans for continuing volunteer activities.
Let us recall that residents of the Nizhny Novgorod region provide ongoing support to servicemen, internally displaced persons, those in liberated territories, and residents of border regions.
The Nizhny Novgorod regional branch and the volunteer center of the United Russia party organized operational headquarters in the early days of the special military operation, involving the party's deputies and various organizations. Shipments of goods for servicemen and the civilian population are being sent on a continuous basis. Deputies and activists, together with partners, regularly hand over necessary items: special equipment, medicines, and food.
