      Hockey players of Nizhny Novgorod's Torpedo recorded their sixth consecutive victory to start the season, beating Lada in Tolyatti 5-1 (2-1, 1-0, 2-0). This result became a club record.

      As early as the 23rd second of the match, Vasily Atanasov opened the scoring. The hosts quickly replied — Dmitry Kugryshev scored in the 10th minute. However, toward the end of the period Sergey Goncharuk once again put Torpedo ahead.

      In the second period, Vladislav Firstov strengthened the visitors' advantage. In the third period Atanasov completed a brace, and shortly after Yegor Vinogradov set the final score.

      The win in Tolyatti was Torpedo's sixth in a row to start the championship — this had never happened in the team's history. The next match (6+) for the Nizhny Novgorod side will be after a three-day break, away at the Shanghai Dragons.

      Earlier it was reported that Nizhny Novgorod Torpedo's goalkeeper Ivan Kulbakov topped the first KHL player ranking of the 2025/2026 season.
