A worker fell from a height while constructing a polyclinic in the village of Novopokrovskoye in Nizhny Novgorod. This was reported by the State Labor Inspectorate in the Nizhny Novgorod Region.
According to the information, the accident occurred on September 15 at around 16:15. A 39-year-old general laborer, while building the new wing of the polyclinic, was dismantling the guardrail of a through-opening in a floor slab in the ventilation chamber; after that he lost his footing and fell onto the slab of the lower floor.
The injured man sustained injuries and was hospitalized at the Semashko Hospital. Doctors diagnosed the man with a severe combined injury. The worker is currently in a coma. The State Labor Inspectorate in the Nizhny Novgorod Region is conducting an inspection to determine the circumstances of the incident.
