A mobile pregnancy guide has been launched in the Nizhny Novgorod region.

      The "Wow, Parents!" app, developed by the Nizhny Novgorod ANO "Institute for Demographic Development," has expanded its capabilities — it now includes a full pregnancy guide. The new section will become a reliable assistant for expectant mothers, from the moment of conception through the first weeks after the baby’s birth.

      The guide is a structured reference resource covering the key stages of pregnancy. It includes information on the child’s development, changes in a woman’s body, as well as recommendations on important medical examinations and lifestyle.

      On first launch, the user can select their current stage of pregnancy. Based on that choice, personalized advice is generated — from nutrition and sleep routines to doctor visits. Over time the recommendations automatically adapt to the new term, providing continuous and up-to-date support.

      This format helps women feel more confident, reduces anxiety levels, and contributes to creating a supportive atmosphere throughout pregnancy.

      "The launch of the updated service is a significant step in providing digital support to future parents in the Nizhny Novgorod region. We strive for every woman to go through this important period with confidence and calm. This strengthens trust in our institute as a social partner and helps create comfortable conditions for the region’s residents," said Evgeny Zhuravlev, director of the ANO "Institute for Demographic Development."

      The app’s development is being carried out as part of the implementation of the national project "Family."

      It should also be recalled that, at the initiative of the Governor of the Nizhny Novgorod Region, Gleb Nikitin, the years 2025–2030 have been declared the Five-Year Family, during which measures to strengthen parenting support and improve the region’s demographic situation are planned.
