      The hockey players of Nizhny Novgorod's Torpedo finished their home series in style, claiming a come-from-behind 4:3 victory over Togliatti's Lada. It was the third game of the season for the Nizhny Novgorod side, and their third win.

      The visitors opened the scoring early in the match. Torpedo quickly recovered, though, and pulled level in the middle of the period. Mikhail Abramov tied it on the power play, assisted by Nikita Rozhkov and Bobby Nardella.

      The scenario repeated in the second period. Lada went ahead again, but the hosts' response wasn't long in coming. Sergei Goncharuk converted another power play to level the score at 2–2.

      Everything was decided in the final twenty minutes. Torpedo created several dangerous chances, which led to a second goal for Sergei Goncharuk. Yegor Sokolov soon extended Nizhny Novgorod's advantage to 4–2. Lada didn't give up and cut the deficit with 9 seconds remaining before the final siren, but the win still went to the Nizhny Novgorod side.

      Alexey Isakov's men took three wins from three in the home series. They have 6 points, which puts the team at the top of the regular-season standings.

      Next, Torpedo will play on the road. The next game is scheduled for 14 September, when Torpedo will face Moscow's Spartak.

      Earlier it was reported that Torpedo-Gorky and Chaika had recorded their first wins of the 2025/2026 season.
