A criminal case was opened after the tragedy in the Dalnekonstantinovsky District.

      Incidents/Criminal case opened against a driver without a license over a fatal traffic accident in the Dalnekonstantinovsky District, the press service of the investigative directorate reported.

      Recall that at about 20:15 on 12 September near the village of Malaya Pitsa a 32-year-old driver of a Honda Ascot, who did not have a driver's license, drove into the oncoming lane and collided with an Opel Mokka. A further collision with a Kia then occurred, after which the Honda crashed into a metal guardrail.

      As a result of the accident three people died at the scene: a 33-year-old man, a 51-year-old woman and a 14-year-old child. The driver himself and a 25-year-old female passenger were injured and taken to hospital.

      The Investigative Committee opened a criminal case under the article on violation of traffic rules resulting in the death of two or more persons. Investigators are continuing to clarify all the circumstances of the accident.

      In addition, the Prosecutor's Office of the Nizhny Novgorod Region has taken the accident under its control.

      Earlier it was reported that Bastrykin ordered a criminal case to be opened over the death of a pensioner under the wheels of a bus in Kstovo.
