Chief mechanics are being recruited in Nizhny Novgorod with salaries of up to 215,000 rubles.

      Economy/Service SuperJob found out how much employers are willing to pay chief mechanics in transport and logistics companies across the country. In Nizhny Novgorod the maximum salary for this position can reach 215,000 rubles per month.

      Starting offers in the capital of the Volga region begin at 60–70 thousand rubles. Such amounts are offered to specialists with a higher technical education, at least three years’ experience as a truck mechanic and knowledge of the 1C program. It is also important to be well versed in how equipment is constructed and to be able to diagnose and repair it.

      If a candidate has skills in reading technical documentation, understands pneumatics and hydraulics, can prepare defect reports and has already worked as a chief mechanic for at least a year, the salary can rise to 70–80 thousand rubles.

      Knowledge of vehicle monitoring systems, experience in road safety and at least two years’ tenure in this position increase earnings to 80–130 thousand rubles. Additional advantages are knowledge of ADR requirements and experience creating a repair area from scratch.

      The highest salaries (from 130 to 215 thousand rubles) go to those who can interact with inspection authorities, have experience with equipment for transporting dangerous goods and hold Rostechnadzor certification for lifting mechanisms. It is also important to have at least three years’ experience as a chief mechanic.

      As a rule, men around 50 years old apply for such vacancies. All have higher education. On average these specialists had worked at their last job for 5.6 years, but at the time their resumes were published 39% of them were looking for work. More than half are willing to relocate.
