Voter turnout in the elections for deputies in Nizhny Novgorod Oblast amounted to 5.6% as of 15:00 on 12 September, the regional election commission reported.
The election commission reminded that a total of 428 deputy mandates are to be filled in the region. 1,338 candidates are vying for them, of whom 29 ran as independents, the rest — representing political parties.
The elections are being held from 12 to 14 September in 25 municipal and 4 urban districts, including Nizhny Novgorod.
