Residents of Nizhny Novgorod are beginning to come to their polling stations. Among the first to cast their votes was State Duma deputy from Nizhny Novgorod Oblast Vadim Bulavinov.
"I always go to the elections, because I understand, and have always said this publicly, that the more people come to the polling stations, the more honest and objective this process is. Each of the candidates bears responsibility to their voters, but the voting process is also the responsibility of the person who gives their vote.
Soon the newly formed City Duma will have to decide on the most important tasks of allocating the budget for next year. It will depend on the deputies how much money educational institutions will receive, how much will be spent on improvement, and so on.
It is important to form a representative body for your native beloved city! Everyone must understand that this is a choice in favor of Nizhny Novgorod, which must live and develop. I invite everyone to come to their polling stations!
The United Russia party has nominated more than 45 thousand candidates across the country. In elections at various levels the party will be represented by 951 participants in the special military operation, as well as doctors, teachers, volunteers, and business representatives," said State Duma deputy from Nizhny Novgorod Oblast and regional coordinator of the party project "Historical Memory" Vadim Bulavinov.
Mother of many children Nina Podporina was the first to take part in voting at her polling station in the Sovetsky District of Nizhny Novgorod. Nina has three sons. The youngest is one year old, the middle is three, and the eldest, a cadet, is ten. The four of them came to the elections.
"In our family, elections are a tradition passed down from generation to generation. When I was a child I always went to the elections with my parents and I believe that I must instill this in my children. I try to convey to them that we are choosing the future for our district, our city. I always advise all my acquaintances to definitely take part in the voting. Because, ultimately, we are choosing what the future will be like for our children," shared mother of many children Nina Podporina.
Residents of Nizhny Novgorod have begun voting in all 39 electoral districts. 222 candidates from 7 parties are taking part in the elections for deputies of the City Duma of Nizhny Novgorod.
"The elections that began today are an important event for Nizhny Novgorod. We have a unique opportunity to take part in determining the composition of the first City Duma. The new people's deputies will face larger-scale tasks. This is due to the fact that in 2025 the regional center has significantly increased in size. Its territory has grown with the addition of the Kstovo municipal district. I am confident that residents of Nizhny Novgorod will take an active part in the voting," said Dmitry Filipenko, head of the regional executive committee of the United Russia party.
Recall that the main elections are being held in Nizhny Novgorod Oblast for deputies of the city dumas of Nizhny Novgorod, Dzerzhinsk and Sarov, as well as elections to the Councils of Deputies of urban districts: the cities of Kulebaki, Bor, Chkalovsk, Navashino; municipal districts — Balakhna, Bogorodsk, Buturlino, Vad, Diveevo, Kovernino, Lyskovsky, Pavlovsky, Pochinkovsky, Tonshaevsky, Urensky.
