In Nizhny Novgorod, major repairs on the overpass near the Myzinsky Bridge have been temporarily halted. The pause was caused by a delay in the delivery of the span beams. According to the city administration, their delivery is expected by September 26.
Nizhny Novgorod resident Elena Akimkina drew attention on social media to the fact that repair work has not been underway for about two weeks. According to her, "two terrible holes" remain in the road, impeding vehicle traffic.
The administration reminded that the first phase of the major repairs has already been completed. The contractor has begun the second phase, which includes dismantling and preparatory work. Work can resume only after the installation of the new beams.
The overpass over Suzdalskaya Street is being repaired for the first time in 45 years. The project cost is 236 million rubles. The work is being carried out by the Kostroma-based company Dormorstroy LLC. Three phases of the major repairs are planned in total, which the contractor must complete by December 2026.
It was reported that ZSNO speaker Evgeny Lyulin ordered strengthened oversight of the construction of a parallel road for Gagarin Avenue.
