The Borsky City Court of the Nizhny Novgorod region has begun hearing a criminal case against a man accused of attempting to murder three people. Information about this appeared on the court's website.
According to the investigation, on May 18, 2025 the defendant was engaged in illegal hunting on district territory and was seen by local residents. Fearing that his actions would be reported to the hunting authorities, he opened fire.
The poacher fired several shots in the direction of people. One of them was wounded in the abdomen. When the witnesses tried to flee, the man fired at them again as they ran.
After the incident the defendant left the Nizhny Novgorod region and went to Tatarstan. He was later detained and placed in custody.
Earlier it was reported that the poacher from Tonshaev who killed two moose faces five years in prison.
