A group of volunteers set off for a training center for combat coordination before taking part in the special military operation. The dispatch of volunteers to their place of service was organized by the Coordination Center for the Support of Servicemen, Mobilized Persons and Their Families, operating on the basis of the House of National Unity.
The main motive for becoming a participant in the special military operation for a resident of Krasnoyarsk Krai was the desire to set the right example for his six-year-old son.
“My motive is patriotism. I strive to set the right example for my child. The Motherland must be defended. And I do not want to stand aside. My brother has already been serving in assault troops in the special military operation for a year and a half. He says they have an excellent commander and responsible comrades-in-arms. My grandfather — a veteran of the Great Patriotic War — fought against the Nazis. I consider it my duty to finish what he started and to resist manifestations of Nazism in Ukraine. Victory will surely be ours, because we are the most powerful and strong country, and no one can compare to us!” the man said.
Volunteers say they are leaving civilian professions and going into service “for the ribbon,” feeling responsibility for the country and seeking to support their own.
“I decided to sign the contract after my stepfather went on the special operation. A close friend is serving there now. I also decided to contribute to protecting the country’s interests. I plan to serve as a UAV operator because I am well versed in technology. We are a strong and brave people; together we are invincible!” shared a contract serviceman from Kemerovo Oblast.
Another recruit worked as a videographer before signing the contract and studied psychology and foreign languages. He is confident that his experience will be useful on the front line.
“On the civilian side I often filmed with a quadcopter. I have good physical fitness and certain skills acquired while practicing freediving. I believe that ‘for the ribbon’ I will be able to apply my knowledge and help our army. I believe in our strength of spirit and unity. Victory will be ours!” emphasized a recruit from Penza Oblast.
Recall that the state provides defenders of the Fatherland with decent financial support and assists their families. Those who sign a contract and go to the SMO zone are issued certificates granting 10 sotkas of land in Nizhny Novgorod Oblast. The certificate can be used two years after receipt.
In addition, Nizhny Novgorod Oblast has a mechanism for concluding military social contracts, which additionally guarantee the family of the contract serviceman 10,000 rubles per month for each child, benefits for utility payments, preschool services and other types of support. Individual assistance for the serviceman’s family is also provided.
