      In Russia, the possible transition to a four-day workweek has long been discussed. Psychologist Tatyana Gileva emphasizes that rest after the workweek is important not only in terms of the number of days but also the quality of free time spent. In an interview with the "360" TV channel, she noted that it is necessary to create conditions for interesting and active leisure, including the development of infrastructure for walks and sports activities.

      Gileva also expressed doubts about the effectiveness of shortening the workday on Friday at the expense of other weekdays. She believes that this could lead to an increased workload on other days, which would negatively affect a person's concentration and overall condition. In her view, this could lead to even greater fatigue, since in the evening, when concentration levels drop, the additional load may cause overload.

      The psychologist stressed that quality recovery depends not only on the time spent resting but also on a person's personal values and the environment around them. Good recovery is not simply passive pastime but the active and meaningful use of free time.

      Earlier, deputy Svetlana Bessarab voiced the idea of Russia moving to a four-day workweek in the future. However, according to her, this is currently impossible due to the presence of enterprises with continuous operating cycles whose schedules are difficult to change. Nevertheless, many companies have already begun introducing additional days off or shortened working days for their employees. Bessarab is confident that Russia will sooner or later adopt this model, thereby improving the balance between work and personal life.
