On the morning of September 8, long queues of cars formed on the approaches to Nizhny Novgorod. Discontented citizens shared their reactions on social networks.
The longest traffic jam formed before the Borsky Bridge, where the situation was made worse by an accident that occurred in the right-hand lane.
Those entering Nizhny Novgorod from the Arzamas and Bogorodsk highways (the interchange near the village of Olgino) also had to sit in traffic.
It is worth noting that similar jams were observed there the previous evening, as well as last weekend before the Day of Knowledge. The weather in the region was summery warm, and there was a huge number of people wishing to spend the weekend out of town.
