At the Museum of Miniature Russia "Tsar-Maket" in Moscow, a scaled-down replica of Nizhny Novgorod was unveiled, the institution reported.
All the city's key landmarks have been recreated at a scale of 1:87 and are displayed as part of an interactive exhibition dedicated to the country's architecture.
The model is made of plastic. Among the recognizable objects are the Nizhny Novgorod Kremlin, the fair building, the Palace of Labor, the cable car, the Moscow railway station and other iconic structures. Trucks, buses and cars move along the streets.
The mini-city simulates a change of time of day: evening lasts only four minutes, during which the buildings are illuminated.
Earlier it was reported that schoolchildren are creating digital copies of historic buildings in Nizhny Novgorod.
