The state expert review rejected the project for the new building of School No. 118 in Nizhny Novgorod.

      The design project for the construction of a new academic building for School No. 118 in the Moskovsky district of Nizhny Novgorod received a negative conclusion from the state examination. This is evidenced by the data of the Unified State Register of Conclusions following the review of the project documentation.

      The project's developer is the municipal budgetary institution "Main Directorate for Capital Construction of the City of Nizhny Novgorod", and the project documentation was prepared by the company Grazhdanproekt LLC from Penza.

      It should be noted that in April the regional ministry of urban development approved amendments to the territorial planning documentation for Narodnaya Street. They were developed and submitted in connection with the construction of a new five-story building for 990 student places, which will be located next to the existing building of School No. 118 on Narodnaya Street.

      Work is planned to be carried out in two phases. In the first phase — site clearing, demolition of old structures, and the laying of utilities. Then — construction of the building itself and improvement of the adjacent territory. Also, as part of the project it was planned to remove the existing parking lot and build in its place a three-story sports center with an area of 4,500 square meters. In the second phase the creation of transport and engineering infrastructure and further improvement is planned.

      The construction of the academic building is planned to be completed by 2029, and the sports center by 2030.

      It was previously reported that in the Nizhny Novgorod residential complex "Zenit" the largest municipal school housed in a single building and designed for 1,600 students began operating.
