What the Ice Palace under construction on the Strelka looks like: fresh photos

      Fresh photos from the construction site of the Ice Palace on the Strelka in Nizhny Novgorod have appeared on the official social media group of the sports facility.

      "Work is in full swing," the authors of the official page clarified.

      The photos show that interior finishing work and landscaping of the surrounding area are continuing. Asphalt is being laid near the building and pedestrian zones are being arranged.

      Inside the complex, ceilings and a large structure resembling a scoreboard are being installed.

      Recall that construction of the arena began in 2022. The facility was originally scheduled to be completed in 2024, but the deadline was later pushed back to the fall of 2025. The main volume of work inside the building has already been completed; specialists are now working on the final finishes. The main arena, with a capacity of 12,000 spectators, already has hockey boards and seats installed.

      At the end of July the arena received its official address — 11 Strelka Street.

      It was reported that the ice complex will become the home venue for the Torpedo hockey club.
