The boiler plant on Ulyanovykh Street in Podolsk has been modernized. It supplies heat to 15,000 people living in the Parkovy microdistrict. According to 360.ru, the progress of the reconstruction was personally inspected by Governor Andrey Vorobyov, who thanked the specialists and emphasized the importance of upgrading the engineering networks.
The facility serves 63 residential buildings, two schools, two kindergartens and an institute. During the repairs a new boiler, modern heat exchangers and a chemical water treatment system were installed. In addition, equipment was installed that automatically switches the boiler plant to backup power in case of outages.
"This major work concerns all districts of Podolsk. It involves both replacing boiler plants, modernizing central heating stations and installing individual heat stations — so that in case of low temperatures during the winter season the heat supply is stable," the governor noted.
A 2.5 km main network was laid from the boiler plant. A special cable was embedded in the pipes that instantly transmits fault data to dispatchers.
Podolsk has one of the largest heating systems in the region. From 2024 to 2026 more than three billion rubles will be allocated for its modernization. Thanks to these investments heating conditions will improve for 170,000 city residents.
Work has already been completed at boiler plants in Klimovsk and the Shepchinki microdistrict. Reconstruction continues at sites on Pobedy and Zavodskaya streets. In 2026 the PEMZ boiler plant on Bolshaya Serpukhovskaya Street will be updated.
"With the support of the president we are implementing everything related to the modernization of housing and utilities in every district of the Moscow Region. We are allocating significant funds for this, and it is very important that upon completion of the work everything is done to a high standard, including landscaping. We see this demand from residents," Vorobyov emphasized.
Digital sensors are being introduced at all boiler plants in the Moscow Region. They allow specialists at the Unified Center for Housing and Utilities Management to monitor the condition of facilities around the clock.
