      The dictation will be written at more than a thousand venues across the country: in schools, universities, regional branches of United Russia and Rosselkhozbank, at agricultural enterprises and in cultural centers. Among the unusual venues are the Nenets chum of the Arctic Tourism Center, the Matsesta tea factory, Russia’s northernmost winery and a plant for the reproduction of sterlet and pike in the Samara region. There will be an opportunity to take the dictation online at agrodiktant.rf.

      “The dictation is another step in educating our country’s residents about the agricultural sector, especially the younger generation. Today agriculture is acquiring special significance both in the economy of the Russian Federation and on the geopolitical agenda. The Agrodictant will reveal the multifacetedness, strength and potential of agriculture, including as a choice of future profession,” said the coordinator of the party project “Russian Village,” chairman of the Federation Council Committee on Agrarian and Food Policy and Nature Management Alexander Dvoynykh.

      It is planned that more than a million people will take part in the campaign, which will be held from October 8 to 12 — these are schoolchildren, students, enterprise employees and representatives of government bodies.

      They will have 45 minutes to answer 30 questions on crop production, animal husbandry, fisheries, digitalization and agricultural export. Topics will also touch on organic farming, agritourism and food security. More than 40 industry specialists prepared the questions. Four levels of tasks have been developed for different ages.

      “In the Nizhny Novgorod region, more than a hundred venues will be opened for writing the Agrodictant. These are educational institutions, rural libraries and cultural centers, agricultural enterprises and the party’s public reception offices. The main regional venue will open at the region’s leading higher agricultural educational institution — the Nizhny Novgorod State Agrarian and Technological University named after L.Ya. Florentyev. In addition, you can test your agricultural knowledge online at agrodiktant.rf. We invite everyone who wishes to take part in the first All-Russian Agricultural Dictation,” said the regional coordinator of the party project “Russian Village,” chairman of the Legislative Assembly of the Nizhny Novgorod Region Committee on the Agro-Industrial Complex and Rural Development Igor Tyurin.

      The Agrodictant is supported by the Ministry of Agriculture of Russia and eight other federal agencies, as well as Rosselkhozbank, the SME Corporation, “Movement of the First” and partners in the agricultural sector. Among the project sponsors are the leading Russian grain exporter OZK Group and the agro-industrial holding “ECO-Culture.”

      The campaign is timed to coincide with the Day of Agricultural Worker and Processing Industry.
