      A driver of a third-party organization's truck attempted to bring a mobile phone onto the grounds of Penal Colony No. 11 in Nizhny Novgorod. This was reported by the press service of the Federal Penitentiary Service of Russia for the Nizhny Novgorod Region.

      A box containing the phone was hidden in the cabin of the vehicle and was discovered thanks to the professional actions of the institution's staff.

      "The offender denies his involvement in the unlawful act; he faces liability in accordance with the administrative legislation of the Russian Federation. An investigation into the incident is underway," the statement said.
